Our Youth program is now on Facebook! Come find us at "Granite Youth Curling"!
We are 100% powered by volunteers and we appreciate everyone who lends their support! Please help out if you can!
Little Rocks (age 7 - 12)
The Granite Little Rocks program offers a non-competitive instructional environment for new and returning curlers between 7 and 12 years of age.
The season runs on Saturdays from mid October to mid April. Little Rocks receive instruction both on and off the ice from 9:00AM - 10:15AM with a 15 minute hot chocolate break at the end of each session.
Volunteer instructors teach the children the techniques and rules of curling with an emphasis on safety and fun. We play using both half-weight and full-weight rocks depending on the size of the curler and are able to accomodate most people into our program. We promote and encourage inter-club bonspiels for all ages, and have some club events that allow the teams to experience team play and have fun together.
Helmets are required for all curlers under 12 curling at the Granite.

Bantam (age 13 - 16) & Junior (age 17 - 20)
The Granite Bantam & Junior program offers a non-competitive instructional environment for new and returning curlers between 13 and 20 years of age (with some exceptions)).
The season runs on Saturdays from mid October to mid April. Bantam & Junior players receive instruction both on and off the ice from 10:30AM - 12:00PM with hot chocolate available after the session.
Volunteer instructors focus on developing curling techniques and strategy using a mix of technical instruction and mixed gameplay. Our emphasis is on safety and fun, and our intention is to develop lifelong curlers. We promote and encourage inter-club bonspiels for all ages, and have some club events that allow the teams to experience team play and have fun together.
Helmets are not required for our 13+ curlers, however we do encourage the use of helmets for anyone on the ice.
